Driving the strategy

Our governing board will advise on the allocation of funding, and monitor progress against objectives

Established as a not-for-profit organisation, the Foundation operates independently of GSK control through its governance board.

We have appointed a Governing Board of world-leading experts in the field of research into diseases of the developing world to advise on and guide our strategy. They will help ensure a consistent high standard in projects that are selected, the balance of the portfolio, and the quality of the science. A small subset of the Board also acts as Trustees of the Foundation and are the final decision makers in approving projects and the release of funds.
