We aim to accelerate the discovery and development of medicines to tackle diseases of the developing world in an open collaborative way

The approach to developing new medicines for treating diseases of the developing world has been somewhat fragmented and disconnected. Despite considerable investment, there has been limited progress.

The Tres Cantos Open Lab Foundation is committed to helping transform the process of drug discovery for diseases of the developing world. Our funding and support will enable researchers to work in an open environment where the wider sharing of ideas and findings will drive collaborative innovation.

Through the connection to the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) specialist Tres Cantos Medicines Development Campus in Spain, scientists funded by the foundation can gain access to the available resources and facilities and work alongside the scientists at the campus.
