Meet OUR mentors

Working as a mentor in the Open Lab is a great opportunity to interact with different research groups and people from around the world, sharing our expertise in the area and pooling new ideas while we fight against tuberculosis.

Teaching is a great way to learn oneself but the opportunity to work with someone else who is not in my core area of experience allows me to broaden my horizons. Being a mentor also gives me a chance to get involved with leading groups from around the world and allows me to interact directly with the Project Investigators and as well as the visiting scientists.

From my perspective, the Open lab has been a process of mutual learning. Scientists from the Tuberculosis field have come and shared ideas and new ways of doing things. We have helped maturing and incubating their projects. Specially, giving our specialized support for speeding up the drug discovery process. Definitively building up bridges to come up with new ideas and future collaborations.
